Pumpkins, Corn, and Car Rides

Gorgeous people with a beautiful sunset for the background.

This year we decided to try a new place for our yearly pumpkin patch trip. It was a bit of a drive, but let me tell you, it was WORTH it! We headed to Missouri last Friday night because Saturday we were supposed to have rain. (The weather man was TOTALLY wrong about that! No rain came that day.) Both kids fell asleep while riding to the patch, and they were ready to go once we got there!

Exeter Corn Maze was AMAZING!! We had no issues finding it, and we were able to walk right in after paying to begin the fun! The kids headed straight for the animals. They were so excited to go into the rabbit pen and pet the rabbits. Then, we made it around to cows, pigs, and goats.

Carter took off running when he saw the corn pit! He almost didn't take his shoes off before jumping in. Corn ended up in all of their clothes and shoes, but man did they like playing in it. Tinley wanted to try everything. They had a zip line set up right down from the corn pit. She didn't want to try it alone, so I got to jump on with her. Carter, however, wouldn't do it at all.

The next stop was the pumpkin patch. After we took a little ride on a trailer, we picked out beautiful pumpkins. The kids each got one and Kyle and I chose one to do together. I'm pretty sure Kyle and I haven't carved a pumpkin together since before the kids were born. Usually, we just let them carve one and we help. While riding back, we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset and company.

Our trip here was so much fun! This next year, we want to cookout. They have fire pits they light that you can use with seating and all! We want to make a day of it. Let the kids play and explore. Just take our time enjoying each other. Memories together are the best kind.
